U23 Vietnam prepares to face South Korea, China and Uzbekistan

After a training trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and two friendly matches with U23 Qatar, the Vietnam U23 team will participate in the Four-Nation Friendly Tournament organized by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) in November 2025.

U23 Vietnam has many potential young players

This is part of the plan to help the Vietnam U23 team prepare for the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 U23 Asian finals.

In this tournament, U23 Vietnam will compete with the top teams in Asia, including host U23 China, U23 Uzbekistan and U23 Korea. This will be an opportunity for young Vietnamese players to gain international competition experience and improve their professional skills.

U23 Vietnam is training hard to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 U23 Asian Championship.

In addition, participating in the friendly tournament with professional quality is also an opportunity for the U23 Vietnam coaching staff to review the force and evaluate the players' abilities before building the squad to compete in the 33rd SEA Games as well as the 2026 U23 Asian Cup.

Because coach Kim Sang-sik leads the Vietnamese team to compete against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers (November 19), assistant Dinh Hong Vinh may continue to take over as head coach of the U23 Vietnam team in the four-nation tournament in China.
