On the afternoon of December 1, the Gunma Green Wings Club's homepage announced that Tran Thi Thanh Thuy had temporarily left the team to return home to play for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
According to this announcement, due to participating in the SEA Games, Thanh Thuy cannot compete in round 9 of the Japanese National Championship (against Himeji), the Queen's Cup (final round).

"Inspired by Thuy's new challenge, the team is even more determined in the matches of the National Championship and the Queen's Cup. In the coming time, we hope that Gunma Green Wings will continue to receive enthusiastic support and cheers from fans," the announcement said.
For her part, Thanh Thuy said that due to national duties, she regrets not being able to compete with Gunma Green Wings in some upcoming matches. However, "4T" always supports and cheers for Gunma Green Wings.
At Gunma Green Wings, Thanh Thuy was the main hitter, contributing greatly to the team's 10 wins to reach the top of the Japanese National Volleyball Championship. Thanh Thuy was voted the best player of the match twice.

In addition to Thanh Thuy, another Vietnamese player, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, also temporarily left the Japanese tournament and returned home. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy will join their teammates in Vinh Long on December 2. After that, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have a friendly match with the Vinh Long youth men's team before officially going to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
