Salah lost his starting position under coach Arne Slot.

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is becoming a hot topic of discussion, as the Egyptian star has suddenly lost his starting place under manager Arne Slot. Former England international Jamie Redknapp has said that Salah’s relationship with Liverpool has reached “a point of no return”.

Speaking on Sky Sports , Redknapp said: “I think the relationship has reached breaking point. Liverpool are very unhappy with Salah's form. I would be very surprised if he stays for the rest of his current contract, which runs until 2027."

Redknapp even believes that the Egyptian star could leave in the upcoming January transfer window. This comment also coincides with the revelation of The Times , when this newspaper believes that Liverpool are ready to listen to suitable offers for Salah in January.

Salah's most likely destination remains the Saudi Pro League. The 33-year-old was Al Ittihad's top target in September 2023, when the Saudi Arabian club made a £150 million offer but it was rejected. Last summer, Salah also discussed the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia on a free transfer before deciding to extend his contract with Liverpool until 2027.

Salah did not play a single minute in the win over West Ham and was on the bench again in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland. This is the first time in his Anfield career that the Egyptian star has not started two consecutive Premier League games.
