Over 1,000 people attended the launching ceremony in response to World Environment Day.

- On June 5, the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) coordinated with the People's Committee of Huu Lung district to organize a launching ceremony in response to "World Environment Day (June 5) and the month of action for the environment in 2025 with the theme "Fighting plastic pollution".

The launching ceremony was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Department of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and over 1,000 local people.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment launched and called on cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, businesses, youth unions, students and people in the district to raise awareness of the harmful effects of plastic waste and nylon bags on the environment and human health; promote actions towards a green lifestyle, sustainable consumption, contributing to controlling plastic pollution, protecting the environment...

Immediately after the launching ceremony, activities took place: a parade to propagate environmental sanitation, collect and classify plastic waste at the source; exchange waste for gifts; distribute leaflets on solid waste classification; plant trees in Dong Lam grassland, Huu Lien commune; release fish at Nong Dung lake, Huu Lien commune, Huu Lung district...

The launching ceremony and activities in response to “ World Environment Day and Environmental Action Month 2025” with the theme “Fighting Plastic Pollution” in Huu Lung district were held to propagate and raise awareness of the risks of plastic waste pollution; mobilize and call on the community to change their behavior and habits of using plastic products and non-degradable nylon bags, contributing to reducing environmental pollution, protecting human health and the ecosystem.
