Over 1,300 businesses and taxpayers attending the conference were informed and discussed by Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department representatives about the new points of the 2024 Law on Value Added Tax and its implementing documents; Decree No. 174/2025/ND-CP of the Government regulating the policy of reducing value added tax according to Resolution No. 204/2025/QH15 dated June 17, 2025 of the National Assembly.
The Law on Value Added Tax, effective from July 1, 2025, expands the tax base by converting 12 groups of goods and services from non-taxable to subject to a 5% tax rate, and at the same time reduces the threshold for non-cash payments from VND20 million to VND5 million. |

At the conference, Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department deployed a plan to measure taxpayers' satisfaction with tax agency services; organized direct dialogues to listen to and answer difficulties and problems of businesses and taxpayers.
Representatives of enterprises and taxpayers raised many questions related to tax procedures, focusing on situations arising during the process of declaring, paying taxes and using invoices. Thanh Hoa Province Tax experts answered specifically, clearly stated the legal basis, and guided how to process records and documents to ensure correctness, completeness and validity in tax declaration. Thereby, helping enterprises and taxpayers raise awareness and understand the benefits of converting from paper invoices to electronic invoices.
