Born in 1970, Karembeu is a midfielder who played 51 matches for Real Madrid. He has fought in Spain, France, England and Greece during his career.

The pinnacle of Karembeu's club career was winning two Champions League titles with Real Madrid in the 1997/98 and 1999/2000 seasons.

For the French national team, Karembeu made 53 appearances and scored 1 goal.
