Accordingly, towards Earth Day (April 22) and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its presence in Vietnam, HP Vietnam and its partners - Synnex FPT, Digital World Joint Stock Company (Digiworld) and Elite Technology Joint Stock Company have officially launched the campaign "For a Green Earth".
This campaign is not just a simple CSR activity, but also a clear commitment to an environmentally responsible development strategy. Within the framework of the campaign, HP sponsors the “Greening Forest” program initiated by the Center for People and Nature (PanNature), aiming to restore 50 hectares of natural forest in Hoa Binh province through the planting of 30,000 new trees in 2025.
“By collaborating to plant 30,000 trees, we want to emphasize HP’s long-term commitment to the environment as well as implementing practical activities to respond to climate change in Vietnam. We believe that technology and sustainable development always go hand in hand to create a better future," said Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, General Director of HP Vietnam.
Previously, starting from 2022, PanNature implemented the “Green Forest” program to restore natural forests in the transitional forest area between Mai Chau district (Hoa Binh) and Van Ho district (Son La), an area with high biodiversity and a long-standing home to Mong and Thai communities.
The program aims to restore 500 hectares of forest within 10 years using native tree species such as doi, lat, tram, mulberry, cinnamon, etc., carefully selected to suit the vegetation and typical forest canopy here. In particular, PanNature prioritizes restoration models with deep participation of indigenous people and local authorities, to ensure long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
Not just stopping at "planting for the sake of it", each tree planted within the campaign will be monitored for survival rate, cared for and replanted in the following years.
