Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee attended and chaired the conference.
Attending the conference were representatives from the General Staff, Military Region 5 Command; Ministry of National Defense Design Institute; Construction Corporation 789 (Ministry of National Defense); Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, along with departments and branches of Dak Lak province and the Party Committee and government of Buon Don commune.

Information at the conference said that the investment project to build a Boarding School for primary and secondary levels in the border commune of Buon Don has a total investment of 150 billion VND from the Ministry of National Defense, built on an area of about 5.8 hectares, including the following items: Study area, headmaster's house, dormitory, kitchen, sports -cultural area, teachers' official housing and reserved land.
According to calculations, the construction scale of the learning area has 56 classrooms, ensuring a place to study for 1,250 students in the period 2026-2030.

At the conference, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province agreed to focus on completing procedures on land, site clearance, and detailed design to start construction before October 10, 2025 and complete on August 30, 2026, in time to put into use from the 2026-2027 school year.
The project is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education and taking care of the lives of children of ethnic minorities in border areas.
The project to build schools in border communes, including Buon Don border commune, demonstrates the deep concern of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense for education, social security and mass mobilization work in strategic areas, contributing to strengthening national defense, security and sustainable socio-economic development in border areas.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, expressed his thanks to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense for their attention and support to the locality in developing education in border areas; and affirmed that the project is a symbol of military-civilian solidarity, helping students in border areas have better learning conditions.
The Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee pledged that the local government will closely coordinate with relevant units to ensure the progress, quality and efficiency of the project.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized: The policy of investing in building boarding schools in Buon Don commune, Dak Lak province and border communes is an important task, demonstrating the Army's responsibility for the cause of education and socio-economic development in border areas, contributing to building local human resources.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army requested relevant agencies and units to absorb opinions and ensure the project is implemented synchronously, scientifically, and in accordance with regulations; in the immediate future, focus on site clearance and completing detailed designs so that the Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools in Buon Don Commune can start construction on schedule.
