Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to continue to strictly implement the contents of the Prime Minister 's Directive and Telegrams on disease prevention and control in livestock and poultry and the directive documents of the Provincial People's Committee (No. 6392/UBND-NLN dated December 11, 2023, No. 601/UBND-NLN dated February 1, 2024, No. 3208/UBND-NLN dated June 18, 2024, No. 3321/UBND-NLN dated June 21, 2024).

Continue to closely monitor and control old outbreaks and high-risk areas, and focus resources on thoroughly handling newly emerging outbreaks. Instruct breeders to strictly apply daily hygiene and disinfection measures using lime powder and chemicals in the barn and surrounding areas.

Direct district-level professional agencies, relevant units and commune-level People's Committees to accurately count the total livestock herd to serve the work of disease management and prevention; review booster vaccinations and supplementary vaccinations for livestock and poultry to ensure at least 80% of the total livestock herd at the time of vaccination, especially rabies vaccination.

Strengthen inspection and control of animal and animal product transportation and slaughter control; resolutely and strictly handle violations of animal and animal product transportation and slaughter control according to regulations.

Good disease control contributes to promoting the sustainable development of the province's livestock industry.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and district-level People's Committees to continue to seriously and effectively implement Plan No. 426/KH-UBND dated December 1, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on prevention and control of dangerous diseases in livestock, poultry and aquatic animal diseases in Lao Cai province in 2024; directions of the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the above documents. Proactively advise and propose solutions to prevent and control epidemics to ensure savings, practicality, efficiency, suitability to the actual situation and compliance with current legal regulations.

Relevant departments and branches proactively coordinate closely with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to continue to resolutely and synchronously deploy solutions to prevent and control epidemics in livestock and poultry to contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the province's livestock industry.
