
In his opening speech, Director of the National Archives Center III Tran Viet Hoa said: The Center has the function of collecting, editing, preserving and organizing the exploitation and use of archival documents of national significance from the August Revolution in 1945 to the present. The activity of collecting personal, family and clan documents is identified as one of the important activities of the Center.
After 30 years of development, the work of collecting and compiling documents of personal origin has achieved certain results. The Center is managing more than 200 collections of documents of personal, family and clan origin, which are documents formed during the life and creative activities of individuals, such as: Biographical documents, certificates, letters, books, official papers, manuscripts of works, creative works and scientific research...
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, National Archives Center III organized a seminar and exhibition on personal documents.

In her opening remarks, Deputy Director of the State Records and Archives Department Nguyen Thi Nga emphasized that archival documents are vivid and authentic evidence of history, and are milestones reflecting the development process of the country, the nation and each individual. In addition to the system of administrative documents formed in the activities of agencies and organizations, personal documents are increasingly affirmed as a source of historical data of special value, both private and closely linked to the historical process and social life.

At the seminar, there were speakers who were individuals and representatives of individuals and families who donated documents to the National Archives Center III: Poet, screenwriter Nguyen Thi Hong Ngát; Mr. Cao Trong Doan, son of writer, playwright Dao Hong Cam; Mrs. Tran Thi Lieu, daughter of playwright Tran Dinh Ngon; Mrs. Nguyen Lan Anh, daughter, representative of the family of playwright Nguyen Tat Dat; Mrs. Luu Khanh Tho, representative of the family of playwright Luu Quang Vu; Mrs. Pham Hong Tham, daughter of playwright Long Chuong; and Dr. Vu Thi Minh Huong, former Director of the State Records and Archives Department...
The speakers shared and introduced their personal journey of creation and work, the process of preserving valuable documents as well as dialogue with the archives in preserving, conserving and promoting the value of documents in the future.

In his closing speech, Director of National Archives Center III Tran Viet Hoa sincerely thanked individuals and families for their trust, entrustment and constant support of the archival activities of National Archives Center III to preserve, transmit and promote the traditional cultural values of the nation.
“When individuals and families have sent their “brainchild”, products and documents to the National Archives Center III, this will be the second home to preserve, maintain and promote the value of documents for today and tomorrow,” Ms. Tran Viet Hoa emphasized.
On this occasion, the National Archives Center III held the opening of an exhibition of personal documents, introducing nearly 200 images and archives of 8 typical individuals including: Playwright Luu Quang Vu, writer, playwright Dao Hong Cam, theater activist Long Chuong, Associate Professor, Doctor, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan, writer - playwright Nguyen Tat Dat, Doctor - playwright Tran Dinh Ngon, writer - playwright Hoc Phi, poet - playwright Nguyen Thi Hong Ngát.

The exhibition takes place at the National Archives Center III, 34 Phan Ke Binh, Ba Dinh, Hanoi .
