Exhibition "Ho Chi Minh City - Stature of the times, creating the future" at the National Exhibition Center

On August 28, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center, the exhibition of national achievements "80 years of journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" was officially opened, held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited the exhibition "Ho Chi Minh City - Stature of the times, creating the future".

Within the framework of the exhibition, Ho Chi Minh City brings to the exhibition with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City - The stature of the era, creating the future" to introduce to the public the outstanding marks in the process of formation, development and integration of the City named after Uncle Ho. Thereby, affirming the role and position of Ho Chi Minh City - the largest economic , cultural, scientific and technological center in the country, a particularly dynamic and creative urban area, always a pioneer in innovation, making important contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited the Ho Chi Minh City exhibition area at the exhibition.

The exhibition is arranged into four main spaces, combining traditional displays with modern technology, opening up a journey from the past to the future:

Space 1: "Journey to open up the South" recreates the traces of exploration, building villages, establishing streets and asserting sovereignty over new lands from the 17th century to 1859.

Space 2: "Long-term resistance, national unification" depicts the glorious milestones in the struggle against colonialism and imperialism, from 1859 to April 1975.

Space 3: “50 years of construction, innovation and creation” reflects the spirit of “dare to think, dare to do” of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau on the journey after the country's reunification, from 1975 to present.

Space 4: "Era of growth, future vision" introduces the development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City in the direction of a smart, modern urban area, aiming to become a "super city" of regional and world stature.

The highlight of the exhibition is the application of advanced display technology such as 3D Mapping, interactive screens, AI Q&A, AR/VR technology and hologram projection, giving visitors a vivid, intuitive experience. Viewers can "travel" in historical space, explore Cu Chi tunnels right in Hanoi, or access valuable documents about the formation and development of this special urban area.

Over the past 50 years, Ho Chi Minh City has been the economic locomotive of the country, the center of international exchange, the origin of many innovative policies, making great contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. With this exhibition, the stature and pioneering role of the City continues to be affirmed, at the same time sending a strong message about the aspiration for integration and development in the new period.

The exhibition “Ho Chi Minh City – Contemporary stature, building the future” is not only an opportunity for people across the country to look back on the glorious historical journey of Ho Chi Minh City – the city named after Uncle Ho – but also an affirmation of the contemporary stature of a dynamic, creative, and vibrant city. This is a testament to the resilient spirit, the desire for innovation and integration of the people of the City, and at the same time arouses the belief, will and responsibility of the young generation in the cause of building an increasingly rich, civilized and modern country.
