Exhibition of Hanoi's socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th National Day September 2

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a Decision approving the outline of the exhibition space " Socio -economic achievements of Hanoi Capital" on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

The Hanoi exhibition will be held within the framework of the National Exhibition with the theme "Brilliant Vietnam, 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country" taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, Co Loa commune, Dong Anh district; with a scale of about 700m², located in the exhibition area "Rich province, strong country" in Sub-area 1 "Vietnam - journey to a new era".

The exhibition is divided into 3 spaces: Space 1 - Hanoi forever echoes the heroic song: Recreating the context of Hanoi before the August Revolution during the resistance war against France and the US, the liberation of the capital, the war period, especially the typical events: Establishment of the Hanoi Party Committee in 1930; August Revolution and reading of the Declaration of Independence (September 2, 1945); 60 days and nights of resistance (1946); Taking over the capital (October 10, 1954)...

Space 2 - Reconstruction, innovation and development with the country: displaying achievements in economic recovery and development after the war to liberate the South and unify the country; socio-economic achievements in 40 years of innovation: Party building, political system; economic development, culture - society, urban, rural areas, security, defense, cooperation, foreign affairs... Display methods include images, models, documentaries, culinary experiences, interactive technology...

Space 3 - New development thinking - building a cultural - civilized - modern - globally connected capital: Introducing the development orientation of Hanoi Capital "Cultured - Civilized - Modern", "Globally connected". The planning of Hanoi Capital for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050 is built with "new vision - new global thinking, Capital thinking and Hanoi action" creating "new opportunities - new values" to develop the Capital in the New Era;

The highlight is the Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, with a structure including 5 development spaces, 5 economic corridors and belts, 5 dynamic axes, 5 socio-economic regions and 5 urban regions.

This space is presented through planning models, documentaries, virtual reality experiences, digital technology applications, artificial intelligence (AI), robots and interactive sound and light effects.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Development to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to develop an organization plan, select service providers and report on implementation progress.

The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports is responsible for coordinating communication work, directing the Hanoi Museum to support explanations and exhibition work. The Department of Finance advises on budget allocation for organizing and synthesizing socio-economic information on 40 years of renovation.

Departments and branches such as Industry and Trade, Tourism, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources - Environment, Planning - Architecture, along with districts, towns and cities will coordinate to provide data, artifacts and models for the exhibition.
