The 2025 Young Photography Festival is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union ; Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. This is also a meaningful event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The Young Photography Festival is for authors aged 18-35, aiming to create a playground and inspire creative passion, encouraging the spirit of serious artistic work of young photographers. The festival is also an opportunity to connect the young Vietnamese photography community, spreading the love of art, the spirit of learning, innovation and integration.

The festival received positive responses from young photographers nationwide, with 2,009 works, including 1,804 works in the realism category and 205 works in the conceptual category, by 221 authors from 29 provinces and cities nationwide. The organizing committee selected 17 best works for awards and selected 124 works, of which 110 works in the realism category and 24 works in the conceptual category, to display and serve the public.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition and award ceremony of the Young Photographers Festival on August 18 at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed that in the genre of realism, the works displayed and awarded have truly and vividly reflected the beauty of Vietnamese people, culture and landscapes. Through the lens of photography, the authors have captured moments of real life, full of creative energy, from the new vitality in the countryside and urban areas, to the process of innovation and modernization of the country.

In the conceptual photography genre, young authors express their thoughts on contemporary life issues, thoughtful and creative perspectives on the relationship between humans and the community, nature and technology.
