Eliminate "Bunker" of retail and drug use in San Thang commune

(BLC) - On July 7, Lai Chau City Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to arrest Tran Van Thang, born in 1978, residing in Cang Dang village, San Thang commune (Lai Chau city) for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at 12:30 p.m. on July 6, 2023, the police used professional measures to suddenly inspect, detect, and successfully destroy project 723K to destroy an illegal drug trafficking and illegal drug use site in Thanh Cong village, San Thang commune, arresting Nguyen Van Ky, born in 1976. This is a drug site that has existed for a long time, causing outrage among the people.

According to the records, at the time of the task force, they caught 5 subjects using drugs in the kitchen of Ky's house. The functional force quickly clarified that after selling drugs to addicts, Ky often let the subjects use drugs right in his kitchen because he felt secure, the entrance to the house was a single path with 3 fierce dogs chained in 3 important positions and 4 security cameras 24/24h. The subject himself had 1 criminal record, 2 drug convictions, 1 theft conviction and 1 robbery conviction, Ky's wife was serving a life sentence for trafficking 2 heroin cakes.

Ky was a very cunning subject, only selling drugs to familiar subjects with money; after buying the goods, he had to use them immediately to prevent addicts from taking the drugs out of the "bunker" or the police would catch them and confiscate the evidence.

With specialized expertise, the police force raided and captured the entire “bunker” ring. Ky bowed his head and admitted his crime and clearly stated the origin of the drugs sold to addicts. Through the process of expanding the investigation, the police force arrested another subject, Tran Van Thang.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities to clarify the subjects' behavior.
