High tide in Ho Chi Minh City exceeds alert level 3 and is likely to continue to increase today and tomorrow.

Water levels at stations in the downstream of the Saigon - Dong Nai River will continue to rise for another day, then fall again. The peak tide of this period is likely to appear on February 12 - 13 (the 3rd - 4th day of the Lunar New Year) at: At Phu An and Nha Be stations, it may be at 1.7 - 1.75m, 0.1 - 0.15m above BĐ level 3. The peak tide will appear from 4 - 6am and 5 - 7pm.

High water levels are likely to cause flooding in some low-lying areas. People traveling during the New Year should pay attention to avoid flooding and difficulty in moving.

The situation is similar to the southwestern provinces, the water level of the high tide at most stations is approximately equal to or exceeding BĐ 3. The highest water level of the day at most stations on rivers, canals and streams may rise for another day, then fall again. The peak of this tide is likely to appear on February 12-13, at: My Thuan station is about 1.87 - 1.92m at a level 0.07 - 0.12m above BĐ 3. At Can Tho station, it is about 1.89 - 1.95m at a level approximately equal to or exceeding BĐ II by 0.05m.
