The 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in coordination with the City's Vietnam Women's Union, took place from March 7-17 with the theme "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai".
At the program, the Miss and Runner-up of Vietnam introduced to the audience 10 Ao Dai sets that have followed the beauties to the world , including many sets that have accompanied Vietnamese representatives to compete in international beauty contests.
With her youthful beauty, Miss Huynh Thanh Thuy appeared at the opening ceremony in a traditional Vietnamese ao dai. The outfit was designed by designer Vu Lan Anh (La Sen Vu) from silk and brocade with meticulously printed and embroidered details.
This is also the outfit that Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin posted in the promotional photos for the Miss Grand International contest that Vietnam hosted in 2023.
Miss Le Hoang Phuong impressed when she took on the vedette position, performing again the outfit she wore to compete at the National Costume night of Miss Grand International 2023.
The costume from designer Nguyen Le Vinh Tuong also won first prize in the National Costume competition night of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023. Miss Le Hoang Phuong shone on stage with her elegant beauty and confident demeanor in every move, bringing a satisfying performance to the costume.
Besides, Miss Intercontinental 2023 runner-up - Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang left a memorable impression in the audience's hearts when wearing an ao dai by designer La Sen Vu.
It is known that this is also the outfit that the most beautiful Miss World Isabella Menin performed at the press conference to launch Miss Grand International 2023 and Miss Grand Vietnam 2023.
Performing at the Ao Dai Festival, the beauties also contributed to promoting and introducing Vietnamese traditional costumes to domestic and international friends.
Runner-up Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao showed off her outstanding beauty when wearing an ao dai weighing more than 30kg with a strong Vietnamese cultural imprint designed by Ngo Nhat Huy and was in the top of the most impressive costumes at Miss Grand International 2017.
Miss World Vietnam 2023 runner-up Huynh Minh Kien performed in the "Cò Ơi" costume designed by Chau Gia Minh, which was worn by runner-up Phuong Nhi at Miss International 2023.
At the program, the beauty queens of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 contest also had the opportunity to reunite. First runner-up Bui Khanh Linh took turns performing the Truc Chi costume by Tran Thanh Tam - who won the Best National Costume award at Miss Grand International 2022. Second runner-up Truong Qui Minh Nhan attracted attention in the "Ngu Phung Te Phi" costume that was brought to the stage by representative Bui Phuong Nga at Miss Grand International 2018.
In addition, 3rd runner-up Le Thi Hong Hanh showed off her beauty in a floral ao dai designed by designer Thuy Nguyen, which was performed at Miss Universe 2019. 4th runner-up Dang Hoang Tam Nhu also contributed to honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women through her performance in the "Phoenix" ao dai designed by Dang Trong Minh Chau and competed at Miss Intercontinental 2021.
In this special event, Miss Tran Tieu Vy made her own mark when appearing with a unique ao dai collection called Huong Sac Viet by designer Duc Vincie. With her charming appearance, the beauty queen brought a youthful and charming look, highlighting the traditional beauty of the ao dai.
The 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival brought a vibrant atmosphere to Nguyen Hue walking street through impressive performances by artists, actors and beauties.
