(NLDO) - On the third day of the Lunar New Year, the police of provinces and cities across the country inspected, discovered and handled 4,814 violations.


On January 31, the Traffic Police Department (Traffic Police of the Ministry of Public Security ) said that on January 31 (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year 2025), there were 56 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 33 people and injuring 52 people. Compared to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year 2024, there were 18 fewer accidents, 2 fewer deaths, and 11 fewer injuries.

On the same day, January 31, the police of provinces and cities nationwide inspected, detected and handled 4,814 violations; temporarily detained 62 cars, 2,222 motorbikes, 34 other vehicles; revoked 283 driving licenses of all types, deducted driving license points from 808 cases. Of which, 2,012 cases were handled for alcohol concentration violations; 974 cases for speeding violations; 4 cases for overloading goods...

Regarding the traffic situation on Ring Road 3, Ring Road 2, Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway and some main routes through the heart of Hanoi leading to the gateway of the capital to join the expressways, national highways... traffic volume increased, vehicles moved slowly, no prolonged traffic jams occurred. Meanwhile in Ho Chi Minh City, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay and Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan expressways, traffic volume increased, vehicles moved slowly, no traffic jams occurred.
