Concentrated afforestation increased by 410%

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, as of March 31, the whole province planted 15,333 hectares of concentrated forests, equal to 410% compared to the same period last year, equal to 97.9% compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in the first quarter, equal to 48.1% compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee for the whole year of 2025.

According to Mr. Vu Duy Van, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the above-mentioned concentrated forest planting results are a remarkable effort of forest owners and state forestry management units. Because in the past 3 months, the weather has been less rainy, not favorable for forest planting. Besides, forest owners continue to clean up the broken planted forests caused by storm No. 3 Yagi , more or less affecting the progress of creating land for forest planting.

Along with afforestation, in the first quarter of 2025, the whole province exploited 563,464m3 of planted forest wood, equal to 144% over the same period last year, an increase of 10.75% compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in the first quarter of 2025, equal to 53.2% compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in 2025.
