Vietnam will face Australia in the semi-finals of the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship. The match will take place at 3 p.m. on November 8 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The other semi-final will be between Thailand and Indonesia.
Vietnam team topped group A.
The Vietnamese team participated in the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship with a rejuvenated squad. Coach Diego Giustozzi and his team won all the group stages, most impressively defeating host Thailand in the final round to claim the top spot. The Vietnamese team won 12 points, scored 23 goals and conceded 3.
In Group B, Australia finished second with four points. They drew 3-3 with Myanmar, lost 1-3 to Indonesia before beating Cambodia 9-2 to advance. Australia only finished ahead of Myanmar on goal difference.
