Displaying 135 documents and images commemorating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday

On the afternoon of May 14, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh Museum - city branch held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "The South forever remembers his gratitude".

With more than 135 documents and images, the exhibition consists of 4 parts: Part 1, Saigon - Gia Dinh in the 1910s, when Nguyen Tat Thanh came and left to find a way to save the country; Part 2, He went to find the shape of the country; Part 3, The South in His heart; Part 4, Ho Chi Minh City forever shines with His name.

The theme expresses Uncle Ho's deep affection for the South and the affection of the Southern people for Uncle Ho, which is one of the important factors contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.

At the opening ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch also held a ceremony to receive artifacts, including: A portrait of President Ho Chi Minh made of lotus seeds donated by artist Le Moc Oanh; 10 books in French about President Ho Chi Minh donated by Mr. Philippe Chaplain, former Deputy Mayor of Bourg la Reine town, Paris (France); a gold-plated portrait of President Ho Chi Minh donated by Mr. Tran Cong Dan; and the song "Love the gift of May" donated by musician Nguyen Van Hien, former member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Musicians Association, former Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh emphasized: During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always had special and deep feelings for the people of the South. When the country was temporarily divided, the South had to fight against the invading American imperialists, he was always worried about the worries of the people of the South, felt pain with the pain of the people of the South, day and night President Ho Chi Minh was concerned about the changes in the movement to liberate the South. He affirmed: "The South is always in my heart".

The people of the South always look to Uncle Ho with the most sacred and noble feelings; steadfastly and persistently carry out to the end the cause of fighting to liberate the South and unify the Fatherland to be worthy of his trust and love. The image of the beloved Father is always in the heart of every child of the South, whether they have ever met him or not, always looking to him with all their respect and deep love for him, all the more deeply understanding and grateful for his immense merit.

The exhibition "The South forever remembers His gratitude" at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch will take place from May 14 to 31, 2025. At the same time, the exhibition "The South forever remembers His gratitude" will also be held at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center within the framework of the 2025 Sen Village Festival in Nghe An to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
