The combination of works from the Museum of Fine Arts’ collection and the works of artists who lived through the war is what makes this special topic special, creating a seamless flow of memories, evoking a space for contemplation about a time of fire and memories that still resonate. From sketches of the battlefield, to works depicting the brutality of war; from paintings capturing rare moments of peace on the front lines, to works imbued with post-war contemplation, all are pieces of time, evoking memories of a historical period that is long gone but never faded.

Through the language of painting and sculpture, stories of the past are recreated through emotions, thoughts and memories. This thematic exhibition is not only a journey recalling a special historical period, but also an opportunity for us to contemplate and appreciate the value of peace, an ideal that President Ho Chi Minh always cherished throughout his revolutionary career.
