The 940th Regiment launched the "Quang Trung Campaign".

Following the Prime Minister's directive to rapidly deploy the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rebuild and repair houses for families affected by natural disasters in the central provinces, Regiment 940 promptly mobilized forces and equipment to Tuy An Dong commune, Dak Lak province, to assist the people in overcoming the consequences of the floods.

Locally, officers and soldiers of Regiment 940 are focusing on surveying the current situation, transporting materials, rebuilding house frames, reinforcing foundations, and clearing the ground for households whose houses have collapsed or been destroyed. This activity aims to ensure that all affected families have stable homes to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Dang Luong, Political Commissar of Regiment 940, participated in assisting with the construction of a house for Mr. Tran Si Phuoc's family.

During construction, at times the Regiment mobilized its highest number of personnel, up to 40 officers and soldiers, to directly participate in the construction. Faced with the homeowner's adjustment of the design plan, changing the building's structure to two stories to proactively prevent and mitigate flooding, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 940 worked overtime, organizing construction even at night, to ensure the quality and progress of the project.

During this deployment, the Regiment focused on supporting the family of Mr. Tran Si Phuoc (87 years old, Quang Duc village, Tuy An Dong commune). His house was deeply flooded and completely collapsed after the heavy rains, while his nine children were all working far away and could not be present in time to take care of and repair the house. The soldiers' presence and support in rebuilding the house is of practical significance, helping the family stabilize their living situation before the New Year.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 940, joined officers and soldiers in the unit in building and repairing houses for the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Cao Thien, Head of Political Affairs and representative of the 940th Regiment Command, stated: “No one will celebrate Tet in hardship – the 940th Regiment always stands side by side with the people. This is not just a slogan, but a consistent political determination of the unit throughout this entire campaign. The officers and soldiers of the Regiment clearly understand their responsibility to the people in the flood-affected areas; therefore, we are mobilizing maximum forces and resources, working with urgency and dedication, hoping to contribute to helping people quickly stabilize their living conditions and confidently prepare for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.”

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 940 worked overtime and organized construction work even at night to ensure the project's progress.

The project is expected to be completed and inaugurated earlier than the deadline set by higher authorities, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, determination, and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in helping the people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
