Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hoang Oanh - "Fragrant flower" keeps the garden of good deeds

In the journey of building and defending the Fatherland today, the image of female soldiers silently contributing has been and is further enhancing the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers. Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hoang Oanh, Head of the Propaganda Department, Political Department, Vice President of the Women's Union of the Military Command of Hau Giang province is one of those typical examples. She is not only exemplary in her work and responsibility in the movement, but also close and sincere with her comrades and the people.

Born into a family with a revolutionary tradition in Kien Giang province, in 2005, after graduating from university, Le Thi Hoang Oanh officially joined the ranks of the Vietnam People's Army. During nearly two decades of work, she has always demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, constantly trained, strived to improve, and excellently completed all assigned tasks.

As Head of the Propaganda Department of the Political Department, she has effectively advised the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command on political and ideological education. The content and programs she has developed are always close to reality, suitable for each subject and each time, contributing significantly to raising awareness and strengthening the ideological stance of officers and soldiers. In 2024, she advised on the development of a program to participate in the 14th Military Television Festival, bringing the unit 1 Gold and 1 Silver awards. The results show the creativity, decisiveness and core role of those doing ideological work in the Military environment.

“Propaganda work is not only about conveying information, but also about arousing beliefs and emotions. As a woman, there are times when I feel pressured, but I have to be strong to maintain my composure and spread positive spirit with sincerity and responsibility,” Ms. Oanh shared.

In addition to her professional duties, Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hoang Oanh is also an active factor in building a strong grassroots Women's Union. As Vice President of the agency's Women's Union, she has effectively connected activities between the Union and the Provincial Women's Union, organized many practical programs such as "Clean House Flower Street", planted trees, classified waste at source, and raised awareness of environmental protection in the unit and the community.

Notably, the campaign called for the donation of 200 trash cans worth nearly 18 million VND to rural women, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and deep concern for people's lives.

The most prominent mark in the movement in recent times is the program "Solid Rear - Steadfast Frontline" initiated and advised on implementation by her. From that humane idea, the Women's Union at all levels has mobilized more than 1.8 billion VND to support 320 military families and presented more than 1,300 gifts to young people recruited for military service. The program has strengthened the relationship between the military and the people, adding spiritual strength to young soldiers on their way to duty.

Senior Lieutenant Le Thi Truc Phuong, an officer in the same unit, shared: “Ms. Oanh is a sincere and responsible leader. She always listens, supports wholeheartedly and is a strong spiritual support for the women in the unit.”

Not only that, she also proactively organized many meaningful and deeply humane activities such as: "Returning to the source" program, "Beauty of new recruits and young women" contest, or "Accompanying young people on their way to join the army". These activities not only bring material value but also are a great source of spiritual encouragement for cadres, soldiers and people.

With her tireless contributions, Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hoang Oanh has been recognized many times as a Grassroots Emulation Fighter. In 2020, she was recognized by the People's Committee of Hau Giang province as a typical example and in 2024, she was one of two outstanding female officers of the provincial armed forces honored and rewarded by the Military Region.

Colonel Bang Luu Phuong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Hau Giang Provincial Military Command, commented: “Comrade Le Thi Hoang Oanh is an outstanding female cadre, with innovative thinking, strong political will, and dedication to the Association’s work and propaganda work. She always completes her tasks excellently, and is a shining example for cadres and members to learn from and follow.”

In the context of increasingly demanding military and defense missions, the presence and dedication of female cadres is becoming more and more important. Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hoang Oanh is the vivid embodiment of the image of “Intelligent-Brave-Disciplined-Humane Military Women”, a fragrant flower in the garden of good people and good deeds of the armed forces of Hau Giang province and the entire army.
