Central Youth Union trains propaganda capacity on poverty reduction for Dien Bien Youth Union members

TPO - On July 24, in Dien Bien province, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union to organize a training conference to improve the capacity of propaganda on poverty reduction for Youth Union officials at all levels. This is an activity under the Project "Communication and information poverty reduction" within the framework of the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025.

In his opening speech, Comrade Mua Chien Thang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union emphasized: The conference is an important opportunity for the Youth Union cadres and youth union members to update new information, equip skills, and share experiences in propagating poverty reduction policies in the locality. This is also a step to concretize the role of the Youth Union in socio -economic development, especially in mountainous provinces like Dien Bien.

Comrade Mua Chien Thang delivered the opening speech at the conference.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Central Youth Union, leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, reporters and more than 250 delegates who are Youth Union officials and youth union members in the area. According to the program script, the conference took place on July 24 with 2 main parts: In the morning, students were exposed to the topic "Strategy for developing basic information on poverty reduction in ethnic minority and disadvantaged areas" presented by Mr. Dinh Xuan Thang - Former Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions . In the afternoon, delegates participated in the practice of "Designing communication products, applying multimedia communication tools in information poverty reduction" , led by MSc. Nguyen Manh Truong - Lecturer of Dai Nam University.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, the training materials have been carefully prepared, closely following reality and updated from previous training sessions. The program content is built in a highly applicable direction, helping trainees to be able to implement it right at the grassroots level, especially in Youth Union activities associated with community development tasks.

Mr. Dinh Xuan Thang - Former Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions gave a speech on the topic "Strategy for developing basic information on poverty reduction in ethnic minority and disadvantaged areas".

It is known that Dien Bien is currently one of the localities with a high rate of poor households, especially in ethnic minority communities. The province is focusing on developing high-tech agriculture , sustainable tourism, digital transformation and innovative startups. The implementation of the "Communication and information poverty reduction" project is considered an opportunity to enhance the capacity of Youth Union officials in supporting people to access social security policies, improving their material and spiritual lives.

At the end of the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee expressed the hope that the trainees would be active propagandists, proactively sharing and exchanging practical experiences so that poverty reduction work can truly spread and go into depth.
