U.23 Vietnam training ground filled with laughter
On the afternoon of July 21, the U.23 Vietnam team continued to practice at a field in the Gelora Bung Karno complex, aiming for the final match of Group B of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship. The 3-0 victory over the U.23 Laos team helped coach Kim Sang-sik and his team gain an advantage in winning a ticket to the semi-finals. The U.23 Vietnam team's strength was also preserved, so the atmosphere in the team was very comfortable.
This training session welcomed the return of striker Nguyen Dinh Bac. He had to practice separately in the afternoon session on July 20 due to overload. When he was able to return to practice with his teammates, this striker smiled brightly.
In the first 15 minutes, the U.23 Vietnam team warmed up and played minigames to create excitement and increase connection between players. After that, the whole team continued to practice important tactical exercises.
Right at the beginning of the training session, coach Kim Sang-sik and the head of the delegation, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, chatted animatedly.

"U.23 Cambodia is stronger than Laos"
Before the training session, defender Vo Anh Quan answered the media's questions. He gave his assessment of the upcoming opponent of the U.23 Vietnam team: "Coach Kim showed us the video, carefully analyzed each position to understand and mark the opponent effectively. After the match against Laos, I think Cambodia is slightly better than Laos. They control the ball very confidently. Therefore, we need to focus to get good results."
Anh Quan performed well during the training period, but was still a bit "unsteady" in the first official tournament with the U.23 Vietnam team.

In the match against Laos U.23 team, Anh Quan started and was substituted right at the beginning of the second half. The Ninh Binh Club player expressed regret: "I did not play well in the match against Laos, I am quite sad with myself. I will consider this as motivation to play better in the next match, if given the opportunity. I lost the ball quite a lot in the early stages of the match, so I lost my confidence and was not in my usual form. Coach Kim also encouraged me to try to concentrate to avoid a similar situation."
The U.23 Vietnam team will meet Cambodia at 8pm on July 22 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team only need to win 1 point to enter the semi-finals.
