Recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training helps ensure the international accreditation value of schools is fully legally valid in Vietnam, creating favorable conditions for students of schools on the list to study, research and develop their careers after graduation both domestically and internationally.

Pursuant to Article 51 of the Regulations on the assessment of the quality of higher education institutions, the results of the assessment of the quality of higher education can be used as a basis to determine the quality of higher education, the position and prestige of the educational institution; to exercise autonomy and self-responsibility. This is one of the criteria for competent authorities to consider investment support, assign tasks, implement stratification, ranking, grant autonomy and rearrange the network of educational institutions. Units that meet the standards will be given priority by competent authorities to invest in development and exercise higher autonomy.

According to the Ministry's list, British University Vietnam (BUV) is the only university in Vietnam to receive a comprehensive accreditation certificate from the UK's quality assurance agency for higher education - QAA. This is a UK education quality accreditation unit with an assessment scale based on 10 very strict criteria, widely applied at many top universities in the world such as Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science...

The agency not only reviews the training programs and teaching competencies, but also evaluates how the university manages internal quality, supports students and continuously improves. In particular, QAA requires schools to demonstrate the connection between training and professional practice, as well as the ability to create a comprehensive learning experience for learners. Being recognized by QAA means that BUV's programs, teaching staff, governance systems and student services meet the same standards as universities in the UK.

In addition to the QAA accreditation, BUV is also ranked 5 stars by QS Stars. Combined with the official recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training, these certifications confirm that BUV has successfully built the Triple Quality Assurance model - ensuring quality at three levels: National, Regional and International.

BUV aims to provide opportunities to study in a British-standard educational environment right in Vietnam, while equipping students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to the country's development and affirm Vietnam's position in the international arena. Currently, BUV is the only international school in Vietnam that awards bachelor's degrees directly from 5 prestigious universities in the UK.

In the context of Vietnam promoting digital transformation in education and expanding cross-border educational cooperation, the presence of quality international universities such as BUV is considered a testament to its ability to attract foreign investment, as well as showing that the domestic higher education system is increasingly approaching global standards.
