Today (January 10), Ho Chi Minh City University of Law cooperated with a business to sign a cooperation agreement on the management and operation of student dormitories.
Accordingly, from 2024, the school will put into use a dormitory with an area of 3,657 m2 in Binh Chieu Ward (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City). The dormitory consists of 3 blocks of accommodation 6 floors high, 2 elevators and 6 staircases. With 239 rooms with an area of 15-38m2 , the accommodation area can accommodate up to 956 students. The preferential price for students is only from 500,000-600,000 VND/person depending on the room type.
This is the only dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law at the present time. Previously, in the context of no dormitory, most of the students had to stay in the boarding houses of the people or businesses.
According to the school representative, the school used to have a dormitory for students but it was dissolved in 2008. Since the time of implementing autonomy, this is the first dormitory to be implemented. The dormitory is implemented in the form of cooperation between enterprises investing in construction and the agreement with the school is only implemented for the school's students.

Dr. Le Truong Son, Principal of the school, said that with a capacity of more than 900 places, the dormitory will hopefully be a place for students to have a cohesive environment and help each other in their studies. Having a dormitory will also help the school to be more convenient in managing and taking care of students' lives, helping students to study with peace of mind.
The dormitory is about 6 km from the Binh Trieu campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. In the first phase, the school plans to deploy a shuttle bus to support students from the dormitory to the school's facilities. At the same time, the school assigned the Student Support Center and the Youth Union to establish a self-management board to participate in management, organize sports activities, and take care of students' lives in the dormitory area.
