Hanoi National University of Education said that the principle of converting scores ensures transparency and respects the highest admission rights of candidates. Candidates do not need to convert themselves. The school converts according to the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .
The conversion method is built based on analysis and comparison of data: Evaluation of the effectiveness of enrollment by each method; learning capacity of groups of students admitted to the school by each method; 2025 high school graduation exam scores provided by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates will be given the highest score after conversion for admission consideration, without dividing the quota for methods/combinations. The conversion ensures that the order from the raw score column (by combination/method) to the admission score column is kept the same, candidates with higher raw scores according to the combination will also have correspondingly higher converted scores.
Candidates with valid admission wishes and the highest scores in each raw score column are selected for comparison.
Raw score, original combination, admission score column and admission scores
Candidates' scores according to each combination/method, converted to a scale of 30, are called raw scores. For example: the Physics Pedagogy training program considers admission without multiplying the coefficient with raw scores of Math + Physics + Chemistry; the Literature Pedagogy training program considers Literature subject doubled with raw high school graduation scores (Literature x 2 + History + Geography) x (¾),...
The set of raw scores, ranked, of all candidates applying to a school according to a combination/method is called a raw score column.
For each training program, there is a combination of high school graduation exam scores determined by the school as the base combination. To consider admission to the training program, each raw score column is converted to the base combination, forming the admission score column.
In the admission score column, a candidate can have more than one score: The highest score among the scores derived from (converted) raw scores according to the high school graduation combination is called Admission Score 1 (ĐX1); the highest score among the scores derived from raw scores according to the SPT combination is called Admission Score 3 (ĐX3). The highest score among the values of ĐX1, ĐX2, ĐX3 is called Admission Score (ĐXT).
Admission process 2025
The admission process of Hanoi National University of Education is as follows:
Step 1: Receive high school graduation exam score data from the Ministry of Education and Training.
Step 2: Determine the detailed conversion plan including: Conversion benchmarks according to the percentile of each score column, corresponding conversion benchmark pairs between two score columns; the conversion function is a linearized function for each segment, for PT1 and PT3; Achievement score levels t1, t2… t10 and incentive score levels n1, n2 for PT2.
Step 3: Announce the 2025 conversion table and create a database to look up admission score information on the school's Admissions Portal.
Step 4: Virtual selection and filtering on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Step 5: Make decisions and announce admission scores and admission results.
The school also notes that for candidates who have taken the Hanoi National University of Education's competency assessment exam or registered for admission under method 2 (PT2), if the registration wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal are different from the wishes previously registered on the school's Admissions Portal, the school has the right to refuse admission partially or completely.
