Promote business cooperation

The University of Technical Education, Danang University has just visited, worked and signed a cooperation agreement with Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company, Quang Ngai province. The cooperation focuses on specialized training and development of high-quality human resources, especially in 4 key industries that are in great demand in enterprises: Materials Technology (Mechanics, Metallurgy), Mechanical Engineering Technology; Electrical Engineering Technology and Chemical Engineering Technology.

The cooperation agreement opens up many substantial and extensive opportunities such as the two sides will coordinate to provide in-depth training in knowledge blocks of Materials Engineering Technology (metallurgy, steel rolling) for students of the School studying in the 3rd and 4th years in the appropriate major between the Company. Students will be supported with tuition fees, scholarships, and job opportunities after completing the training program.

Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company invites lecturers from the School to participate in teaching advanced training courses for engineers, technical bachelors, workers... and to participate in assessing the quality of human resources for the company. Create conditions for lecturers to study, experience and work practically at the enterprise. - The company participates with the school in assessment activities outside of training programs and research on human resource development.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Le Hung, Principal of the University of Technical Education, University of Danang, said: "In the past decades, we often heard the phrase "universities transfer technology to businesses". However, at this stage, many domestic technology businesses have a team of scientists and experts who are good at theory and practice and are working with systems, infrastructure and scientific and technological equipment that have reached the world's advanced level. In the new context of domestic and foreign technology as above, each university needs to redefine the focus of cooperation activities with businesses".

The University of Technical Education will build a space for school-enterprise cooperation in the direction of encouraging businesses to invest in setting up offices, showrooms, and research centers right on the campus of the school's first facility - a strategic location in the city center, near the airport, Da Nang high-tech park, and Lien Chieu port. This is not only an intersection between theory and practice, but also creates a creative ecosystem, facilitating the connection between universities and businesses and training/developing human resources.

Improve and enhance training quality

With more than 60 years of construction and development, the University of Technical Education, University of Danang has gradually affirmed its position as a prestigious center for training technical and technological human resources to serve the needs of socio-economic development in the Central Highlands and the whole country.

2023 marks an important step forward for the school in its journey to affirm training quality when it was officially granted a Certificate of Educational Institution Quality Assessment by the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - Vietnam National University, Hanoi according to Decision No. 798/QD-KĐCL dated August 23, 2023.

Immediately after that, the University of Technical Education, Danang University continued to participate in the university quality benchmarking system founded by the research group of Hanoi National University in the direction of meeting the requirements of innovation and adaptation to the fourth industrial revolution in Vietnam and achieved the 4-star university certification of the Vietnam and regional higher education quality benchmarking system (UPM).

Realizing that education and training, especially at the university level, play a key role in providing high-quality human resources to serve the construction of a knowledge-based economy in the context of globalization, international integration and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution that is taking place strongly, the University of Technical Education, Danang University always determines that ensuring the quality of education in general as well as the training program in particular is a mandatory requirement and a top priority task to be performed.

Not stopping at facility accreditation, the University of Technical Education, Danang University continues to promote quality assurance activities at the training program level.

Up to now, the school has successfully conducted external assessments and received Quality Accreditation Certificates for 7 training programs, including: Mechatronic Engineering Technology; Control and Automation Engineering Technology; Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology; Automotive Engineering Technology; Food Engineering Technology; Construction Engineering Technology and Information Technology.

Based on the recommendations of the External Evaluation Team, the school's leaders have provided close and timely instructions in developing and implementing plans to overcome existing shortcomings and promote existing strengths to continuously improve training quality.

The fact that 7 training programs have met the standards after quality assessment and have been granted certificates is not only a testament to the University of Technical Education's efforts to innovate and commit to quality, but also an important basis for the school to continue to innovate teaching methods, upgrade facilities, enhance the capacity of the teaching staff, etc., helping students develop comprehensively and meet the requirements of the modern labor market. In addition to the 7 training programs that have been assessed for quality and granted certificates, there are currently 8 other training programs that have completed self-assessment reports and will conduct quality assessment before October 2025.

In its development strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2035, the University of Technical Education, University of Danang is determined to become a leading technical university in Vietnam in technical training and applied research towards regional and international training standards, a reliable destination for training cooperation, scientific research and technology transfer. The successful accreditation of training programs is a solid stepping stone for the school to integrate deeply and sustainably into the national and international higher education system.
