On the evening of October 20, a representative of Binh Minh Kindergarten (Hoang Mai, Hanoi ) confirmed that a boy had practiced washing his hair and massaging his feet. This activity took place yesterday (October 19) with the aim of enhancing the experience and celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day.
Regarding the report that the girls were stripped and wrapped in towels by their teachers, the school representative said that this information was not accurate. In reality, the girls were still wearing clothes or skirts inside. When wrapping the towels, the teachers wrapped them up high so that the children could experience it like being at a spa.

This experiential activity takes place in the middle class. Depending on each age group, the teachers will choose a different form for the children to experience, for example, the older children make postcards, invite their mothers to attend to give them hand massages, while the kindergarten class makes bracelets to give to relatives. The activity is organized with the purpose of helping children experience and express their feelings.
This year, before organizing, the teachers discussed with parents. The parents also cooperated, some even lent items. "This activity accidentally encountered mixed opinions from the public, the school will learn from experience and thoroughly implement it," the representative added.
On the morning of October 20, a parent posted on Facebook that "the girls in my child's class took off their clothes and wrapped themselves in towels like they were at a spa so that the boys could give them head massages." The parent said that this activity was offensive to both boys and girls and "was wondering how to give the teacher feedback without offending her."
"I find it unnecessary and quite revealing for girls. The activity of washing the girls' feet is unacceptable (the girl wrapped in a towel sits while the boy washes her feet below)," the parent wrote.
This article quickly spread across social networks and received a lot of interaction, most of the opinions were against.
"Schools should choose other formsof education and experience instead of such useless things. The children are too young to understand what it means to call and massage girls and what the purpose is. This type of sex education will be counterproductive," commented Nguyen Ba Thuy.
Many parents disagree with the "weird" activity, saying that the concept of "sex education is problematic". Others question the logic of this massage with the rule that "children must be taught not to touch each other's bodies".
