Famous private schools such as Marie Curie, Doan Thi Diem, and Le Quy Don announced enrollment and admission form for grade 1 for the 2024-2025 school year.

Marie Curie Primary School enrolls 660 first graders at three campuses: My Dinh (Nam Tu Liem District), Kien Hung (Ha Dong) and Viet Hung (Long Bien). The Viet Hung campus has the largest enrollment quota of 300 students (10 classes), while the other two campuses each enroll 180 students (6 classes).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lan, Principal of Marie Curie Primary School, said that there will be instructions for enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year at each campus in early March. This year, the school organizes online enrollment registration, ending the need for parents to line up from midnight like previous years.

Regarding recruitment, the school welcomes students to experience for free one day in April. Here, they learn Math, Vietnamese, English, eat, take a nap, and participate in group activities (arts - sports ), similar to a day at school.

Students who are able to concentrate in class, are confident and cooperative with teachers, have good eating and sleeping habits, are talented, active and have teamwork in cultural and sports activities will be selected.

Ms. Lan said that after students are selected for the experience, parents need to buy the application form and make a deposit (estimated at about 5 million VND). If they are accepted, this amount will be deducted from the contributions, otherwise parents will get their money back.

"This is to limit the number of virtual participants, affecting other families' plans," said Ms. Lan.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Doan Thi Diem Primary School will enroll 584 first graders for two campuses. Parents can apply now. With campus one in My Dinh, the school will enroll 300 students in the English intensive program, 30 students in the French intensive program, 52 students in the Cambridge international program, and 52 students in the Oxford international program. At campus two in Co Nhue (Bac Tu Liem district), the school will enroll 150 students in the English intensive program.

Ms. Dao Thi Thuy, Principal, said that the school does not have an entrance exam, only interviews. Explaining, Ms. Thuy said that each year, the school receives about 1,800 applications but the quota is only over 500. Therefore, direct interviews are used to assess students' interaction and pronunciation, since the school teaches many foreign languages.

This year, the school plans to hold one admission round, instead of 3-4 rounds like previous years. The expected admission period is April 7, with results announced after April 15.

"The school will finalize the plan in early March, then organize an admissions seminar for parents," said Ms. Thuy.

Le Quy Don Primary School , Nam Tu Liem District, has released application documents since January 24, and will continue until the quota is met. The school will enroll 12 first grade classes, with 30-32 students per class, through a selection process.

In addition to the application form, parents need to submit a copy or photocopy of the child's birth certificate.

Nguyen Sieu Primary School (Cau Giay District) announced that it would recruit 234 first graders in 9 classes (each class has no more than 26 students), 2 classes less than last year. The school representative cited limited facilities as the reason.

For the 2023-2024 school year, the school will have two models: international classes and standard Cambridge classes. However, this year this option is being considered. Around March, the school will open an online registration portal and provide specific information, as well as answer questions from parents.

Nguyen Binh Khiem - Cau GiayEducation System is recruiting 5 first grade classes, with 150 students. The school started enrolling students in December 2023, and currently has more than 80 students registered for enrollment. According to the admissions representative, the school will continue to accept applications until the quota is met.

Students who register will come to school for an interview every Saturday. If accepted, they will complete the admission procedures immediately.

Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School (Thanh Xuan District) will issue first grade application forms from November 2023 until the quota of 9 classes, with 32 students/class, is full. According to the schedule, the school has completed the capacity assessment and only has the scholarship round left, scheduled for March 2.

Every year, Hanoi enrolls first graders in public schools in July. Private schools are allowed to enroll students on their own initiative. Most schools accept applications early, around the end of the previous year.
