Seminar "Technology & Home Appliances Industry in Vietnam - New Vitality in 2025" organized by Chicilon Media in collaboration with NielsenIQ.
On June 5, Chicilon Media cooperated with NielsenIQ to organize a seminar: "Technology & Home Appliances Industry in Vietnam - New Vitality in 2025" in Hanoi . The event gathered nearly 100 industry experts and representatives from leading brands such as LG, Panasonic, Daikin, Xiaomi, Hoa Phat, Casper, ... to update the market picture and the latest development trends this year.
Technology and home appliances industry returns to positive growth momentum
At the beginning of the conference, a representative of NielsenIQ said that the technology and home appliances market in Vietnam is clearly recovering. By the end of 2024, the market recorded growth in both value and output. Subsidy programs, incentives and increasing demand for personalized products are the factors driving this growth.
Notably, the main source of growth comes from emerging markets in the Asia region, where consumers are increasingly confident in their family's financial ability after economic fluctuations in 2024.
The global technology and home appliances industry in the first quarter achieved revenue of 196 billion USD, up 2% over the same period last year, mainly from IT equipment (computers, laptops, etc.) and mobile devices (phones, smart watches, etc.). These are also two strong growth sectors in Vietnam. Meanwhile, home appliances remained stable and remained in the group with a large proportion.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, General Director of NielsenIQ Vietnam Market Research Company, shared at the workshop.
This trend creates a great opportunity for brands in the technology and home appliance industry to reposition their business strategies. They focus on developing personalized product lines and smart home devices to better meet the increasingly diverse needs of customers.
“In order for new products to quickly reach consumers and make an impression on the market, the role of communication in product launch programs is an indispensable factor,” said a NielsenIQ representative.
Elevator Media Channel: Subtle Touchpoints in the Customer Journey
In the context of increasingly fierce and diverse advertising competition, building trust and enhancing brand recognition has become a top priority for businesses. In particular, the technology and home appliance industry needs to clearly demonstrate criteria such as: Quality standards, proven performance and new technology features through advertising campaigns.
According to the Kantar Media report released at the event: “69% of survey participants rated advertising content on elevator media channels as trustworthy”. Chicilon Media representative stated that this is the special competitive advantage of the digital elevator media channel that the unit is developing.

Mr. Guo Zhi Feng - Chairman and CEO of Chicilon Media - spoke at the event.
Furthermore, the audience who views and is exposed to advertisements on elevator media channels every day is the potential customer base of the industry. Kantar Media 2025 report shows that the group of people who view elevator advertisements are in the golden age group from 22 to 55 years old. Notably, 95% of them have a personal spending level of over 7.5 million VND per month. This is not only a group of potential customers with great purchasing power, but also has a positive influence on family, friends and colleagues, creating a very effective brand spreading effect.
Chicilon Media representative added: Elevators are one of the rare advertising environments that combine personalization and high concentration. Customers waiting for the elevator are often less distracted, helping brands convey messages more clearly and deeply. This also creates favorable conditions for consumers to proactively learn more about the product.

In the context of traditional media channels being increasingly distracted by many distracting factors, digital elevator media channels play a role as a powerful tool, helping brands in the Technology and Home Appliances industry to directly, effectively and continuously reach target customer groups such as office workers, middle and high income groups in a focused environment with little information interruption.
