" If students cannot go to school due to weather conditions in the residential area or inconvenient transportation, the family should proactively request leave so that the school can understand and have appropriate support measures when the child returns to school," the school's announcement stated.

FPT Primary and Secondary School (Nghia Do Ward, Cau Giay) announced that on October 8, students will return to school to study in person according to the schedule.

After two days of online learning, Isaac Newton Primary School (Nghia Do Ward) commented that although it is still raining in Hanoi, the amount of rain has gradually decreased and the flooding situation is gradually improving. Therefore, students are expected to return to school in person from October 8.
However, to ensure absolute safety for students, in case of heavy rain lasting at night or early morning causing localized flooding, the school will adjust the learning format before 6am on October 8.
Similarly, Kim Giang Primary School (Dinh Cong Ward), Unetkids Kindergarten (Nhan Chinh Ward), and Mac Dinh Chi High School (Noi Bai Commune) will also welcome students back to school tomorrow.
Meanwhile, many parents said they have not yet received notice of tomorrow's learning plan from the school. Le Trong Tan Primary School (Yen Nghia Ward) said that according to the weather forecast, Hanoi will continue to have heavy rain tonight and tomorrow morning. Therefore, the school will announce the learning format before 6am tomorrow morning.
According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, as of 1:30 p.m. on October 7, the city had 30 schools with flooded schoolyards and classrooms, specifically as follows:


Previously, the department instructed educational institutions to be proactive in ensuring safety for students and teachers and preventing storms.
Schools need to closely monitor weather developments; proactively and flexibly adjust teaching and learning plans, ensuring absolute safety for students. In case students come to school, the unit must arrange flexible management and teaching to ensure safety for students and teachers.
Units check and inspect drainage systems, schoolyards, classrooms, cafeterias, boarding areas, etc.; promptly clear and reinforce to prevent flooding and landslides.
Schools strictly implement the on-duty regime, regularly update information, and promptly report on rain and flood situations and impacts on teaching and learning activities (if any) to the department for synthesis and handling according to regulations.
To ensure the safety of students and teachers, the Department requests that its units and educational institutions proactively monitor weather developments in the coming days to promptly handle situations, be flexible in teaching and learning, and switch from in-person to online teaching.
