According to Daily Mail, the medical helicopter crashed onto the busy Highway 50 in Sacramento, California, at around 7:00 p.m. on October 6 (local time).
Immediately after the accident, 15 passersby rushed to the scene to rescue the victims. The Sacramento Fire Department told KCRA that there were no patients on board the plane, but there was a pilot and two paramedics.
Sacramento Fire Department Captain Justin Sylvia said all three victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Witness Davi Bychkoviak, a Sacramento resident who was on his way home, said the red REACH helicopter crashed just feet away from him.
"Before the accident happened, I saw the red helicopter flying close to the ground. Just a few seconds later, the helicopter crashed just over 1 meter away from me. There was a loud noise and smoke coming from the scene," said Davi.
Photos posted show debris at the scene of the plane crash.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the accident.
