Communication about legal aid in Tan An commune

Implementing Plan No. 01/KH-TGPL dated August 1, 2025 of the State Legal Aid Center of Ca Mau province on implementing communication according to the National Target Program on new rural construction, on the morning of October 10, 2025, the State Legal Aid Center of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of Tan An commune, Ca Mau province to organize a legal communication session on legal aid at the Commune Cultural Center.

The communication session attracted 46 people to attend, including poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiaries and people in need of legal aid. This is a practical activity to help people access legal information, improve their understanding and awareness of law compliance, contributing to supporting localities to effectively implement the "Access to law" criterion in the set of criteria for communes meeting advanced new rural standards.

At the media session, Mr. Tran Minh Thu - Legal Aid Officer, introduced the basic contents of the 2017 Law on Legal Aid, clarifying the people's right to free legal aid and the responsibility of State agencies in ensuring the right to access justice. The delegation also disseminated a number of legal regulations related to rural life, focusing on propaganda about ho, hui, bieu, and phuong according to Decree No. 19/2019/ND-CP of the Government , helping people identify risks, prevent violations and protect their legitimate rights in civil relations.

With an easy-to-understand and lively way of communication, the Legal Aid Team has directly consulted and answered many legal problems for people in the fields of civil, marriage - family, land, complaints and civil disputes. In addition, the Center also distributed legal leaflets, hung propaganda banners and introduced the hotline and contact address of the State Legal Aid Center of Ca Mau province, helping people conveniently access legal services when needed.

The representative of the People's Committee of Tan An commune said that this communication activity has practical significance in implementing Decision No. 25/2021/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Circular No. 09/2021/TT-BTP of the Ministry of Justice on building communes, wards and towns that meet legal access standards. Thereby, contributing to improving people's ability to access the law, strengthening trust in the judicial agencies and creating a solid foundation for the process of building new rural areas in the locality.

At the end of the communication session, many people expressed their excitement at being directly consulted and having their practical legal issues answered, and at the same time hoped that the Center would continue to organize more mobile communication sessions at the grassroots level so that the law would become more accessible, easier to understand, and integrated into people's lives.

The legal aid communication session in Tan An commune not only contributes to raising people's legal awareness, but also demonstrates the accompanying role of the Judicial sector in the process of building new rural areas. This is an activity with profound humanistic meaning, contributing to consolidating the foundation of "people knowing, people understanding, people doing, people enjoying", towards the goal of building civilized new rural areas, sustainable development in Ca Mau province./.
