Folklore legends of house spirits come to the big screen.

Director Truong Dung's film, "The Haunted House," is described as a movie with a strong spiritual theme, combined with elements of family love and humor.

The film revolves around the story of Mrs. Hien, a woman raising three children alone after her husband's death in an accident. The story begins when her middle son, while fishing, finds a sealed earthenware jar. From then on, strange occurrences begin to happen in the family.

The film's title hints at unsolved, chilling stories and buried secrets.

The teaser poster evokes a dark, eerie, and dramatic atmosphere with its somber, cold color palette, blending elements of Vietnamese folk horror with strong metaphorical undertones, stimulating the audience's imagination.

The central character of the teaser poster is a young man (played by Quang Tuan) with blood-stained clothes, his face showing a mixture of panic, fear, and tension.

Interestingly, the character is clutching an old, blood-stained earthenware jar. It's highly possible this object is the source of all the tragedy in the film.

According to the producers, the film belongs to the spiritual, romantic, and comedic genres.

Taking on the lead role in the film is Quang Tuan – who has consistently made an impression through recent film projects, especially in the horror genre: *Nightmare*, *The Demon Dog*, *Possessed by a Corpse *…

The film also marks the return of director Truong Dung – who has been loved by audiences through many films on both the small and big screen: Long River, The Chain of Destiny, Fish on the Shore, Stream of Memories, A Time We Chased Shadows, Storms of Life , White-necked Bear , Marrying a Saigon Woman ...

In particular, Truong Dung's name is also associated with "Mother and Daughter Dau Dua" - a 100-minute video film that premiered during Tet in 1998 and has since been repeatedly broadcast on television.

Besides Quang Tuan, the film "The Haunted House" also features many familiar faces such as: Artists Thanh Hang, Van Trang, Huynh Dong, Hoang Kim Ngoc, Lan Thy, Lam Thanh Nha, Vuong Khang…

The film is scheduled to be released on October 24th.
