From January 8, vehicles are only allowed to travel one way on the Thang Long Boulevard service road.

Hanoi Department of Transport has just announced to organize one-way traffic on both sides of Thang Long Avenue's service road in the direction of Ring Road 3 - Hoa Lac and Hoa Lac - Ring Road 3 from tomorrow (January 8).

The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the Traffic Police Department of the City Police to arrange forces to guide traffic flow for vehicles to ensure traffic safety and avoid congestion; Strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order on neighboring intersections.

The People's Committees of Nam Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai, and Thach That districts shall arrange forces to coordinate with the Department of Transport Inspectorate, Traffic Police, and relevant units to regulate and guide traffic flow from a distance and on Thang Long Avenue to ensure traffic safety and avoid traffic congestion.

It is known that previously, Thang Long Boulevard was a two-way road for motorbikes and one-way for cars (from the area adjacent to Pham Hung Street to the end of Thach That District, the section adjacent to National Highway 21A and vice versa).

Many opinions say that the above traffic organization is potentially causing a very high risk of traffic accidents, especially in the evening when the traffic volume on this route becomes crowded. Therefore, it is necessary to reorganize it appropriately.
