The unexpected "turn" of the construction engineer, giving up a "huge" salary to return to his hometown to raise cows
Graduated from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering with a degree in civil engineering, Mr. Tran Van Quan soon found his dream job right after graduation. Having a job in his field of study, the civil engineer is full of enthusiasm and dedication to his profession.

After 11 years of work, the construction engineer worked at a project management department of a private enterprise with a salary that many people dream of. At that time, Mr. Quan was earning a salary of about 25 million VND/month, not including work allowances. This income helped him cover his living expenses and take care of his small family.
However, the construction engineer made a surprising decision when he "changed direction" to leave behind the dream job of many people to return to his hometown to do farming . This decision partly came from his desire to start a career in his hometown, partly because he wanted to be close to his wife and children, and have more time to take care of his family.

Mr. Quan himself is also passionate about farming. His wife, Ms. Le Thi Thanh, is also a bachelor of economics. In 2021, the couple decided to invest in building a farm in the wife's hometown in Dien Thap commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province.
First, the construction engineer couple spent more than 800 million VND to build barns, improve the land, and plant grass on an area of about 3 hectares. Then, they decided to raise 3B cows, a fairly new breed of cow in the locality. Mr. Quan continued to spend more than 1.2 billion VND to buy 57 3B cows.
From a construction engineer who switched to raising 3B cows, Mr. Quan and his wife traveled to farms in Vinh Phuc province to learn from experience. From the care process, to the food for 3B cows, or simply the method of cleaning the barn, Mr. Quan remembered everything.

With what he learned, Mr. Quan brought back to apply to his farm. Fresh, clean food source is the most important thing to help 3B cows stay healthy and gain weight evenly. Seeing the 3B cows in the barn gain weight evenly, Mr. Quan was very happy.
Expanding development direction, providing the market with the cleanest and best products
To ensure the farm is always clean and hygienic, Mr. Quan uses biological bedding. Biological bedding includes sawdust, rice husks, probiotics and litter waste mixed together. After 1.5 months of use, the biological bedding is used to fertilize the plants on the farm. If the amount of fertilizer is large, Mr. Quan adds probiotics, then composts it, packages it and sells it to households growing vegetables and ornamental plants.

“The most important thing when raising 3B cows is that we always use clean, fresh food, saying no to growth stimulants. The diverse feed used for the cows includes pellets and brewer’s dregs mixed together, silage, green elephant grass, dry straw, corn and banana leaves. Here, I have more than 2.3 hectares of green elephant grass Va06, bananas, corn, etc. to serve as food sources for 3B cows and other livestock,” Mr. Quan shared.
At his farm, Mr. Quan also raises wild boars and chickens. Imported 3B cows weigh an average of 200kg/head, and after 13 to 14 months, they reach a weight of about 550kg to 600kg/head. This is the time when 3B cows reach their weight and are ready for sale.
In 2022, Mr. Quan's family earned about 1.9 billion VND from the farm. The unexpected "turn" of the construction engineer has initially achieved success. Always wanting to provide consumers with the cleanest and safest products, Mr. Quan is currently continuing to invest to expand the farm and further develop the family's economy.
