Proud to receive the Party Badge

QTO - On the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to award and posthumously award Party Badges to 1,574 Party members in communes, wards, special zones, and Party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee. This is a great honor and source of pride, because the Party Badge not only recognizes their contributions but also serves as a reminder for each Party member to continue to train and strive, and to keep their oath to the Party.

For Ms. Bui Thi Lien, a Party member of the Party branch in Hamlet 7, Cam Lo Commune, receiving the 60-year Party membership badge on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday this year is an unforgettable memory. Due to health reasons, Ms. Lien was unable to attend the ceremony, so representatives from the Cam Lo Commune Party Committee personally came to her home to present the badge. This is a well-deserved recognition of her long journey of dedication since joining the Party in 1966.

Holding the Party Badge in her hand, Mrs. Lien couldn't hide her emotion: "This is a great honor in my life. This badge reminds me to continue living an exemplary life, setting an example for my children and grandchildren, and contributing to building a stronger village Party branch."

According to Thai Thi Hong Minh, Secretary of the Cam Lo Commune Party Committee, 16 Party members were honored to receive the 30- to 60-year Party membership badge, including 2 members who received the 60-year badge. To date, the entire Party Committee has over 370 members who have been awarded badges for 30 years or more of Party membership, accounting for over 20% of the total 1,834 Party members in the commune. This is not only a source of pride and honor for the individual Party members and their families, but also a shared joy for all the Party branches under the Cam Lo Commune Party Committee.

At 83 years old, Mrs. Hoang Thi Nguyen, a Party member of the Party branch in residential area 6, Dong Thuan ward, still maintains her agility and sharp mind. Recalling her early days joining the Party in April 1966, she couldn't help but feel nostalgic. That was a period when she dedicated her youth to the cause, spending seven years in the youth volunteer force, and then continuing to work in the health sector until her retirement.

Holding the 60-year Party membership badge in her hand, Mrs. Nguyen happily shared: “This is a great source of encouragement, helping me to have more confidence and reminding myself to live happily and healthily. I will continue to uphold my qualities, set an example for my children and grandchildren, and actively support local movements to contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful neighborhood and homeland.”

The Party Badge is a prestigious award recognizing, appreciating, and honoring the efforts, training, and contributions of Party members. The Party Badge awarding ceremony is an important political event, held annually on the occasion of major holidays such as: the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2), and the successful October Revolution of Russia (November 7).

According to regulations, Party members who have been active in the revolutionary movement for many years, maintaining their Party membership for 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 years or more, will be considered for the Party Badge. Therefore, the Party Badge is not simply a recognition of the number of years of Party membership, but also a recognition of the dedication, contributions, moral character, and political fortitude of the Party member.

This year, 1,574 Party members were awarded and posthumously awarded Party Badges by the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19th. These are exemplary Party members, shining examples of political acumen, moral character, sense of responsibility, and exemplary conduct within grassroots Party organizations.

Among them, one comrade received the 75-year Party membership badge, 13 comrades received the 70-year badge, and 31 comrades received the 65-year Party membership badge. This generation has witnessed and directly contributed to the glorious journey of our Party and country, from the struggle for national liberation and reunification to building and defending the Fatherland and the current process of innovation and increasingly deep and comprehensive international integration.

The awarding of Party Badges is all the more meaningful in the context of the entire Party intensifying the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, in conjunction with Party building and rectification efforts. These exemplary veteran Party members serve as motivation for each cadre and Party member to reflect on themselves and continuously strive for self-improvement and training.
