Tu Ky renovated more than 100 hectares of abandoned fields to grow rice.

Many abandoned rice fields were planted by people in Quang Phuc commune (Tu Ky) using transplanters to speed up progress.

The communes with large areas of renovation are: Quang Phuc (20ha), Minh Duc (20ha), Quang Trung (12.5ha). In these fields, people mainly grow Japanese and Q5 glutinous rice varieties.

In some localities, the Agricultural Service Cooperative, people use machines to transplant rice in areas of abandoned fields. Minh Duc Commune Agricultural Service Cooperative in coordination with Duc Minh Plant Seed Trading Development Company Limited (Hai Duong City) for the first time implemented a model of rice cultivation for commodity production with product consumption, in which many areas of consumption were transplanted on areas of abandoned fields.

By February 19, the entire Tu Ky district had planted 5,000 hectares of winter-spring rice, reaching 75.2% of the total area.
