Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that according to the update of Asian Tour as of August 15, 2024, there are currently 131/144 international golfers registered for the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024.

Athletes come from 24 countries and territories: Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, England, India, Pakistan, America, New Zealand, Singapore, Myanmar, Taiwan (China), Morocco, Australia, Scotland, Germany, France, Sweden, Canada, Spain...

As host, Vietnam has a total of 20 slots to participate in the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024. The current list has been updated on the official website of the Asian Tour.

Within the framework of the tournament, there will be a professional-amateur golf exchange tournament (Pro-Ams), with the participation of 33 professional golfers who are the seeds of the Tournament and 99 amateur golfers, divided into 33 teams.

Along with that, the organizing committee will welcome an international golf travel famtrip delegation from August 27 to 30, 2024, including representatives of travel agencies from the markets of Japan, Taiwan (China) and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore). The delegation will survey tourism products and golf tourism service facilities in Da Nang ; connect and cooperate with golf courses and travel companies in Da Nang to promote promotion and attract golfers to Da Nang.

Currently, the units are reviewing the Plan to ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting inside and outside the tournament area and event area during the Tournament; and traffic regulation to facilitate transportation activities within the framework of the event.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong suggested that in order to ensure the organization of the Tournament, ensure security, order, safety and achieve good results, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinate with the City Police, Department of Health and related units to coordinate to support ensuring security, safety, health and environment during the organization of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024.

At the same time, strengthen communication to promote the festival to partners and domestic and foreign golf tourists. In particular, increase information on domestic and international sports TV channels, reaching audiences in Asia - Pacific and other regions around the world. Thereby, integrate the promotion of Da Nang tourism and information about the Tournament into investment and tourism promotion programs of Da Nang city.
