"I was without a team for a year and a half. No club in Brazil wanted me. So I went to Europe to play in the Portuguese Third Division," he said.
In Portugal, Alexsandro played for Praiense, Amora and Chaves before moving to France to join Lille in Ligue 1 from 2022. After 3 seasons with 112 appearances, Alexsandro played excellently and caught the eye of coach Ancelotti. He was called up to the Brazilian national team for the first time on May 26 and immediately made his mark.
Regarding his current life, Alexsandro said: "I bought my family a house, got married and had a beautiful daughter. Now it's time to dream about my life as a player. I played in the Champions League. Now I want to have a place in the Brazilian team and play in the 2026 World Cup."
