The film, produced by the Television Film Production Center, Vietnam Television (VFC), is imbued with current events, reflecting one of the major policies of the Party and State, which is to bring regular police to the communes.
“With you, there is peace there” follows the footsteps of Huy, a police officer assigned to Tien Phong commune to be the Commune Police Chief, in the context of a series of incidents causing insecurity and disorder. He encountered many difficulties and obstacles during the investigation process, but the biggest difficulty was that there was a whole “line” of manipulation from local interest groups, whose leader was Bang, Huy’s brother-in-law.

Throughout the film are stories of struggles between reason and emotion, between villagers and wrongdoings and imperfections to bring peace to Tien Phong commune. Behind those struggles are many difficulties for Huy when he has to resolve the confusion between relatives and neighbors on one side and the regulations that must be followed on the other, between reason on one side and emotion on the other.
The film offers a realistic perspective on the life and work of police officers who stick to the grassroots level, not only having to deal with criminals and law violations, big and small, but also having to skillfully handle complex relationships in the village, where there is no shortage of invisible pressures between reason and emotion.

Director, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung said that in order for the film story to not be dry and one-sided, he chose to tell it from different perspectives of life. That is the story of Thien, a 14-year-old boy who chose to drop out of school and follow gangsters because of his alcoholic father's lack of attention; the story of Mr. Thang - the head of the family, who likes authority, does wrong but refuses to admit his mistakes; or the story of Cuong "chicken", an alcoholic, neglects everything and is taken advantage of... There is also the divorced couple who still live together, or the three brothers Hoa, Thuan, and Qua dividing the land...
The everyday stories that occur every day are integrated into the film, giving the audience a realistic view of the life and work of the Commune Police force: they must be truly close to the people, so that they can mobilize people to accompany and help them complete their tasks well. The Commune Police soldiers are not only law enforcers, but also act as psychological counselors to answer all questions from the people, helping violators understand right and wrong, and overcome the consequences they have caused in a reasonable and sympathetic way.
The film also closely follows current issues that are happening every day in reality, such as the fight against dirty food, fake goods, and counterfeit goods that infiltrate and mix in small shops and traditional markets...

The film brings together the largest cast ever. According to Meritorious Artist, Director Nguyen Danh Dung, just counting the characters with names and dialogue, there are about 50 people. The number of famous artists from many generations participating in the film is also large, such as People's Artist Thanh Quy, People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, Meritorious Artists: Phu Don, Thanh Binh, Ba Anh, Thai Son, actors Van Dung, Thanh Tu, Vinh Xuong, Hoang Cong, Tuan Tu, Thu Quynh, Le Bong, Tuan Anh and especially child actor Trinh Minh Phu, who is making his first foray into television dramas in the role of the boy Thien.

The film also has the support of the police force from the central to local levels, from consulting on behavior and speech to be standard and in accordance with regulations, to action scenes, solving cases, chasing criminals...
" The police officers helped the film crew very enthusiastically so that we could complete our mission in the best way possible ," said director and Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung.
Vietnam Television's drama production center has produced many films about the police force, criminal police, fire prevention and fighting... but with "With you, there is peace", the audience will see another perspective on the force that specializes in maintaining peace in many rural areas.
The film “With you, there is peace” will air on VTV1 at 9pm every Monday to Friday, starting from July 29.
