Even in your twenties you need to learn to accept mistakes.

To be fair, the story between the student and the teacher at that school was somewhat controversial due to social media. There was a bit of an illusion in the way of behaving and facing the problem, if not to say relying on the "power of social media".

Because in every story, the solution is not only based on reason, but also on emotion, as our grandparents taught. Moreover, this matter is not so terrible that it cannot be discussed.

That incident also gives another lesson that students in their eighteens and twenties must take seriously to improve themselves. Knowing how to accept mistakes is also a skill that not all young people have, so it needs to be practiced.

Learning from your own mistakes and learning how others can help you correct your mistakes will only benefit you and become valuable assets for your life, and will not cause you any loss.

A student who was the valedictorian of the entrance exam and also the valedictorian of a university in Ho Chi Minh City shared her experience. She was never afraid of making mistakes during her university years. She always took the opportunity to share her personal opinions, speak up in class and ask any questions she had with her teachers without fear of being laughed at for asking the wrong or silly questions.

Her point of view is that only in university are we allowed to make mistakes, and not afraid of making mistakes. Because if we make mistakes, teachers will definitely help us correct them so that we can recognize what is right. And only then can we remember and limit mistakes, because when we graduate and go to work, we will not be allowed to make mistakes anymore. Not to mention that there are mistakes that we will never have the chance to correct.

Of course, not all young people think like that. The common mentality is often the fear of being laughed at, of being made fun of if you accidentally ask a question that is a bit silly. A little more is the mentality of hiding ignorance. Worse still is not accepting that you are wrong, even when pointed out the mistake, you blame it on "others not understanding what you mean".

Returning to the story of the student above, if you had accepted it with a humble and willing-to-learn attitude, you would have gained more than just a 5 to pass the subject after the re-evaluation committee was established. But the loss is obvious to everyone. And there will certainly be consequences for both your psychology and your studies in the next stage.

Education in some ways is providing a service, but a special service, not simply like paying for a product. There are also lessons in being a human being and perfecting one's character.

Going to school is the time to learn new and interesting things, not the time to prove who you are or what your family background is, unless you are truly excellent and stand out.
