Thanh Hoa youth enthusiastically participate in exam support activities Provincial Youth Union leaders encouraged and presented gifts to the volunteer team participating in "Supporting exam season" at the exam site of Trieu Son 2 High School (Trieu Son).

Recently (June 8), 40,971 candidates in Thanh Hoa province officially participated in the 2023 Grade 10 High School Entrance Exam. In order to accompany and support candidates and their families, the Youth Union at all levels in the province have established 96 exam support teams with more than 1,900 volunteer youth union members participating. At each exam site, volunteer youth teams participated in supporting candidates and supporting the organization with many meaningful activities, such as: Coordinating with forces of specialized agencies to guide and direct traffic; ensuring security and order; providing free drinking water, masks, and learning tools; establishing a volunteer motorbike taxi team to support and transport candidates to the exam location...

Present at the exam sites of Trieu Son 2 High School (Trieu Son), Nong Cong 1 High School (Nong Cong), we witnessed the thoughtfulness and enthusiasm of the exam support teams when implementing support activities such as: reviewing and developing support plans for students in difficult circumstances; orphans, disabled students, poor households, near-poor households; travel instructions; exam procedures, counseling; free accommodation support for candidates and their families... In addition to the familiar support activities, the exam support teams also implemented specific activities to ensure health before the exam for candidates such as: raising awareness, distributing handbooks on how to prevent infectious diseases, and distributing nutritional products to candidates.

In Tho Xuan district, there are 5 high school entrance exam sites, with 2,165 candidates registered to take the exam. In order to promptly support candidates and their families to participate in the exam, according to Secretary of the District Youth Union Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong, the District Youth Union has established 5 youth volunteer teams with nearly 250 members participating. At the exam sessions, the youth volunteer team served drinking water and waiting seats for parents of candidates; distributed drinking water, hand fans, and pens to candidates; ensured environmental sanitation at the exam sites; established free motorbike taxi teams to pick up and drop off candidates in difficult circumstances to the exam sites; coordinated with functional forces to regulate traffic in the exam area... Thereby, it contributed to ensuring the exam took place successfully and safely.

According to the plan of the Provincial Youth Union, the "Supporting the Exam Season" program in 2023 is divided into 3 peak volunteer activities including: Phase 1, entrance exam for grade 10 at Lam Son Specialized High School; implementation time from May 25 to 27; location: Lam Son Specialized High School and Dao Duy Tu High School. Phase 2, entrance exam for grade 10 at high school; time from June 8 to 10; location at 89 high schools across the province. Phase 3, High School Graduation Exam in 2023; time from June 27 to 30, 2023; location at 75 high schools across the province. To prepare well for the exams, since the end of May, youth volunteers have launched activities to accompany students during the exam season. In addition to the volunteer activities of volunteers, accompanying volunteer teams and students during the exam season, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also organized the giving of items including: hats, fans, shirts... and visited, encouraged, and gave gifts to volunteer teams at exam sites...

In order for volunteer activities to continue to be effective in the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, from June 27 to 30, the Provincial Youth Union continues to direct all levels of the Youth Union and volunteer teams participating in the "Supporting the Exam Season" program to focus on implementing information channels and receiving candidates' needs for support. Develop support plans suitable to the needs and wishes of candidates. Proactively review and develop support plans for students in difficult circumstances in remote, border areas, and areas with special economic difficulties; orphaned students, students with disabilities, poor households, and near-poor households. Call for resources to support the program; find scholarships for candidates in difficult circumstances; support learning tools for candidates. Implement the model "Each member supports a candidate" connecting volunteers and candidates who need support in the following areas: exam preparation, advice on sharing exam experience, answering some questions about the exam, etc. Implement specific activities to ensure health before the exam. Coordinate with authorities, medical facilities, and schools to review and grasp information about the situation of candidates in the locality and develop plans to support travel, accommodation for candidates in difficult circumstances, proactively handle unusual incidents related to weather, accidents, health, etc. of candidates. Establish volunteer teams to support and guide candidates at stations and on bus routes; implement free pick-up and drop-off activities for candidates in difficult circumstances, remote areas, candidates with disabilities; guide candidates and parents to take routes that avoid traffic jams; distribute support items such as: information, drinks, snacks. At the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly prevent negative phenomena affecting candidates.
