Vietnam's U21 volleyball team had a dream start when they defeated host Indonesia 3-0 in the opening match of the 2025 U21 Volleyball World Cup. The victory not only helped coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team gain "capital" points, but also gave them more confidence for their journey to conquer the prestigious playground.
In the second match of Group A, the Vietnamese girls met Serbia. This is an opponent that is considered to be of equal strength, so Dang Thi Hong and her teammates have many opportunities to win another victory in the tournament.

Not only was there excitement, many of the U21 Vietnam volleyball team's hitters also had impressive performances, notably Dang Thi Hong. The 2006-born main attacker scored 21 points, including 15 attack points, 4 block points and 2 serve points on the opening day.
Facing Serbia, Dang Thi Hong continues to be the explosive force of the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team. However, in order to improve the strength of the attack, coach Trong Linh needs to have more options to share the fire with the 19-year-old hitter. Quynh Phuong, Bich Hue, Phuong Quynh... are all athletes who have shown clear progress in recent times, ready to take on the task of scoring points.

With the goal of winning to compete for a ticket to the next round, Coach Trong Linh is likely to continue using the strongest lineup. In addition to the attack, Vietnamese athletes must also pay more attention to step 1 and pass 2.
The Vietnam vs Serbia U21 women's volleyball match will take place at 2:00 p.m. on August 8 in Surabaya (Indonesia).
