Vietnam women's futsal team will learn from loss to China

As reported, the Vietnamese women's futsal team (ranked 11th in the world) had a friendly match with the host Chinese women's futsal team (ranked 24th in the world) in the early morning of May 4.

This is also a rehearsal match for coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team before officially entering the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Finals taking place in Inner Mongolia (China).

In the first minutes of the match, the Vietnamese futsal team did not start well. The most notable situation that the Vietnamese futsal team had in the first half was in the 7th minute, but K' Thua's shot hit the crossbar of the home team's goal.

In the second half, the match speed increased and both teams actively pressed fiercely. In the 26th minute, the home team opened the score after a fierce fight. Just one minute later, China quickly doubled the gap when taking advantage of the space between Vietnamese players.

Conceding two goals, the Vietnamese women's futsal team tried hard to find a counter-attack opportunity. In the 31st minute, Bien Thi Hang had a good coordination with captain Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang, finishing beautifully to reduce the score to 1-2. Then, Thu Xuan had a pass to help Pho Ngoc Thanh Thy run in and tap in to equalize 2-2.

After the official match, the two teams tied 2-2 and had to decide the winner by penalty shootout, the result was that the Vietnamese women's futsal team lost 3-4 to China. The team's coaching staff said that through the match, the whole team had learned important lessons before entering the official tournament.
