Evaluating these two matches, head coach Giustozzi Diego Raul said: “We need international level matches. The Hungarian and Russian Futsal teams will bring that. Facing big difficulties will make the team better. I am sure that if the whole team has more self-confidence, we can beat our opponents. These things need to come from the players' own thinking. This is the last step we need to take to start achieving important results."

Up to now, the Hungarian Futsal team has participated in the Futsal World Championship once in 1989 and stopped at 5th place; three European Championships (2005, 2010, 2016). The Hungarian Futsal team is currently ranked 28th in the FIFA rankings.
Sharing about the two upcoming friendly matches, captain Pham Duc Hoa said: “I feel very excited to face two very strong opponents from Europe, Hungary and Russia. This is a great opportunity for Vietnam Futsal to improve and learn more from the above opponents. For the Hungarian Futsal team, this is the first time we have competed. I think they are a good team and will help us learn many things,” the captain of the Vietnam Futsal team added.
Two days later, the Vietnam Futsal team will have a second friendly match against the Russian Futsal team on September 19.
“This is the third time we have faced them. The previous two times we lost, but with the most recent defeat at the 2021 World Cup, the futsal team has improved in terms of score and playing style. I hope that in this third confrontation we will perform even better and get good results,” Duc Hoa shared.
