Primary school enrollment in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City: Students residing outside the district will register in the second round

According to the enrollment plan for the 2024-2025 school year of the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, enrollment will be conducted entirely online at: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

The admission process for primary schools will be divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 prioritizes admission for those who are actually residing in the area; Phase 2: Based on the units that have not recruited enough students compared to the assigned quota, the primary school admission steering committee will decide on opening the second round of admission (registration is still done online).

Enrollment for grades 1 and 6

In the 2024-2025 school year, District 1 has the following elementary schools enrolling in grade 1 of the integrated English program: Dinh Tien Hoang, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Hoa Binh , Le Ngoc Han, Tran Hung Dao, Luong The Vinh, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nguyen Hue, Ket Doan.

In particular, Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School implements a high-quality program following an advanced international integration model, enrolling 180 students, with priority given to students residing in Cau Ong Lanh ward.

Regarding 6th grade enrollment, District 1 People's Committee said that students of the prescribed age who have completed primary school at public schools in District 1 can enter 6th grade at public secondary schools in District 1.

Of which, Nguyen Du Secondary School recruits 300 6th grade students, the admission requirement is that students have a final exam score of 10 points in 5th grade math and Vietnamese at the end of the 2nd semester. Huynh Khuong Ninh Secondary School recruits 210 6th grade students of the advanced international integration model.

Early childhood education admissions timelines

Phase 1: from May 25 to June 25, 2024.

Of which, two advanced integrated schools, Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School and Huynh Khuong Ninh Secondary School, will enroll students first.

From 25 to 31-5: organize for parents to confirm information.

From June 3 to 10: parents register for the two schools above.

From June 13 to 15: review and announce results, parents confirm enrollment.

From June 15 to 17: Parents submit admission applications to two advanced integrated schools.

From June 18 to 21: assign students with residence in District 1 to grades 1 and 6 and announce the results of the initial entrance exam at the remaining primary and secondary schools.

Students who complete primary school in District 1 will register for the second round if they want to continue studying in District 1.

From June 24 to 25: Parents submit admission applications.

The second round of admission will take place from July 19 to 30, 2024.

From July 19 to 23: parents register for admission.

From 24 to 26-7: review.

From July 27 to 30: results announced, parents confirm admission and submit admission application.
