The High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has just announced its 10th grade enrollment plan.
Accordingly, the admission subjects are students graduating from junior high school in 2025, nationwide, meeting the following conditions: Conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes from good or higher and junior high school graduation ranking from good or higher.
In 2025, the total enrollment target of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (with 5 specialized blocks including Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is 525, each specialized block recruits 105 students.
The High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences will hold the 10th grade entrance exam for 2 days from June 1-2. The specific exam schedule is as follows:
Notably, this year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences only applies one method of entrance exams to recruit 10th grade students, no longer directly recruiting candidates with excellent achievements like previous years.
Candidates must take 4 subjects: Math (round 1), Literature, English and specialized subjects, of which English is a new subject. The Math (round 1) and Literature exams last 120 minutes, English 60 minutes, and specialized subjects 150 minutes.
In addition, candidates take the specialized subjects corresponding to the registered major, except for Math (round 2) for candidates applying for Math and Informatics. Informatics is for candidates applying for Informatics, Natural Sciences - Physics knowledge and skills for candidates applying for Physics; Natural Sciences - Chemistry knowledge and skills for Chemistry majors and Natural Sciences - Biology knowledge and skills for Biology majors.
Candidates register for the exam online from April 21 to May 5. Exam results will be announced before June 24, and successful candidates are expected to enroll in person on July 10.
In 2024, the total enrollment target of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (with 5 specialized blocks including Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is 525. The competition ratio for each specialized class is as follows: Specialized Math: 1/7.0; Specialized Informatics: 1/6.3; Specialized Physics: 1/5.8; Specialized Chemistry 1/6.6; Specialized Biology: 1/3.5.
